Robert Burns Memorial – Hermann Park, Houston, TX
The Heather and Thistle Society donated a commemorative bust on January 25, 2002 honoring the National Poet of Scotland, Robert Burns (1759-1795). The bronze bust, mounted on red, Texas granite is located in the International Sculpture Garden in Houston’s Hermann Park.
The project was totally funded by generous donations from Heather and Thistle members and friends of the Society. No corporate donations were solicited or accepted, making the sculpture a true gift from the Scottish community to the people of the City of Houston
