Dear Friends and
Colleagues,
As you
celebrate St. Andrew’s Day wherever you may be, know that we in Scotland
are celebrating along with you. You have travelled far but, on this day
we know your thoughts return home.
St.
Andrew’s Day is a time to reflect on, embrace, spread and celebrate all that is
good about Scotland, past and present, and look forward to even greater success for our
nation in the future. Throughout history Scotland
has exported the ideas of the enlightenment, our many natural resources and
manufactured goods. And we of course have exported our people. As ex-pats
and friends of the Scottish cause, you serve as individual ambassadors of our
nation. Your good works, enthusiasm for Scotland and engagement in your communities help cement Scotland's place in the world.
We at
the Scottish National Party are working hard to help Scotland
achieve its full potential. We want to see Scotland
move forward and reach new heights of success.
The
next year will be a pivotal one in Scotland’s
history. On May 3rd, Scotland’s
voters will go to the polls to choose a new government. As we move
towards the election, we will be very active both at home and abroad. If
you are interested in following our progress please visit http://www.snp.org.
At this time next year I look forward updating you on the progress we
will have made in a new Scotland. But until then please accept my best wishes, for you and
your family, and have a happy St. Andrew’s Day!
Yours For Scotland,

Alex Salmond
Member of
Parliament, Banff & Buchan
Leader, Scottish
National Party
