2002 GENETICS STUDY

The Associated Clan MacLeod Societies [ACMS] approved a Resolution to support the voluntary individual participation of eligible clansmen in a University College London genetics study. The ACMS is an international organization with National Societies in Scotland, England, Canada, the United States of America, Australia, New Zealand, France and South Africa.  University College London has demonstrated Viking DNA traits in persons living in some areas of Great Britain with known Viking influences such as the Shetland and Orkney Isles.

The Genetic Study was closed to volunteers in 2002.
